Get this guys,  there is me interested in pigeons and log on this site almost daily to read and find out more information, obtaining books, dvd's and any information I can get my hands on, (thanks guys for your replys by the way) and my other half says he can't get interested!  Now there is a turnout for the books!

I have found though when speaking to women I work with, when I mention my interest, they say that it is too male orientated and that they can't imagine that woman are allowed to join in!

Do you think that the sport still portrays this image to many women?

I  did fly with my late husband who passed away Feb 2006 and then the birds were auctioned off as I could'nt cope as I was working, but now I'm semi retired I started back in the sport last young bird season with a friend of his who had'nt flow for over 25yrs and I really enjoy everything about it even the cleaning out .

well done heather :) sounds great ,, good luck :)

I am always going off on some weird and wonderful idea. Her Ladyship has a grand way of straightening me out. I do all the work but she has all the ideas. It is worse than working for a boss.

Seriously, I would like to know why more women do not race birds. I am sure that they would be very good at it if they did. After all, they are involved with most other forms of livestock sports.
