Louella ensures they fill out all transfers themselves ok it incours a few £'s but no need to pay for the courier cost once reported ;) saving more £££'s

its pretty simple get there loft numbers ectra  ;) if we were more like the continental fanciers and swapped ring cards much easier and more cost effective and less time consuming fot those in administration  :)

All the Unions in Great Britain are at least 25 years behind the times when it comes to transferring pigeons  :-/

Unfortunately if pigeons are obtained for stock purposes, and not raced or shown, it is not necessary to transfer them, although out of common decency to the seller they should be, to avoid any future problems, should the birds escape etc

Hmm, I didn't know that. I think that I will send off the forms myself this year.

By doing that you are paying the transfer fees, (for some unions), which in fact is the responsibility of the buyer. One way of  overcoming this is to charge the fee when the birds are sold (and add a bit on for time, effort, and postage costs). Maybe then people will do the honourable thing  ;)

I know when i cut my stock at the end of the season im screwed as dont think any are transfered - maybe worth paying someone a few quid to do it all for me.

How you fixed Gail??? :)

yes Bob I am busy doing the ring list, however having dinner at the moment, and as for making coffee for the boss I have just made myself one ;D.

Regarding stock pigeons and transfers,  it is a problem when the seller retires from pigeons, and 1 escapes from the new owners loft, that bird is reported to the original owner, and try asking them who they transferred it to, they can never remember, then the problems start :)

I know what you mean here Len but infact it is a rule that a bird must be transferred, the rule says the transfer form must be sent to the General Manager for registration within 14 days after the change of ownership, how many actually know that,I personally didnt but i knew there was something in the rules so I checked,Rule 102.
