I have an Irish mother and was born on the boat coming from Rosslare to Fishguard, and birth registered in Hertfordshire. So what does that make me Irish, Welsh or English. I know where I call home, and proud to be Irish although I have lived in England all my life.

My Great Grandfather was Irish - hence the 'McDermott' name!! which I'm proud of, so much so I gave my Boys double barrelled surnames as I'm the only one who can keep our family name going!

My G- G'Dad married a Spaniard and when I visited Belfast last year was told in one of the 'Locals' I 'looked' Irish.

Not sure if this was a compliment or not usually told I'm like an 'old hippy' or a Gypsy!!!!! lol

im irish mum and dad both from galway, no english blood at all in my family.

Nice spot galway, even have direct flights to Africa now about 12 a day, or so it bloody seems, and only one way tickets for most!
