As they say at the dog tracks 'the hare's running' Before we know it the strings will be cut and this years racing will be underway.

This brings me on to the To Do List, what is your ultimate aim for this years racing?

now if you really thought you had no chance, you would never walk down to your loft everyday [even when its peeing down]clean them out, feed and water, look forward to the young every year,in the frantic hope that this year would be the one,go down to the club every friday, sit outside every saturday, when you know you should be down the pub, spend ever increasing amounts of money on food etc,pay even more subs to make up for the guys who have gone, never to be replaced,as for myself,my target, get my loft up get some young in and train for next year [i will never get it done for this year]

Having just started up again, my aim is to have sufficient good young birds left at the end of YB racing to have a decent team of birds to race next year. Not a lot to ask!!!! But is it?

Hang on Mate! First things first.   TO DO, the Manure OVER, good and proper. Let's try and lose the smell of xxIT.    Secondly, to have this years Grand national winner, winning at a decent price. I'll reveal it before it happens!  ;D   And finally to see Vic right up there, especially from the last one, because it may well be! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I helped vaccinate Kev's birds on the weekend and the feathering on his birds is always excellent. I think simply he does not have the quality of bird, I mean that as a friend. I know he has a few coming in from some good fanciers, hopefully they are the type to fly in to this area. I will reiterate it is the most dificult I have been to and I have flown in South Wales and Yorkshire. You need a bird that in preperation will fly east to west across the southern counties when all the feds are liberating north, a bird to fly in to a headwind in most inland races a pigeon tha can survive Percy and the sparrowhawks whisch are in abundance and then is able to fly over 100 miles of water across the channel to get home on line. Kev can condition and his birds are always healthy, so my conclusion and of course I may be wrong is his birds are the wrong 'type' for what he needs. If he gets the right uns I think he could well go close!
