stewarty dove Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I am having trubble in pair my birds, as i lost my stock birds that i knew were a cock and a hen. How can i pair the rest o the birds and what do i need to put in the nest bowls for them to mate???? please help cheers
Guest Thunder Birds Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Are these birds 2008 bred? if you're not sure which are cocks and which are hens at this point it may be worth waiting before attempting to pair up. If you've got your heart set on pairing up asap just put your nest bowls in the nest boxes and eventually they'll go together but be prepared for a wait! Don't put anything in the nest bowls until you know the birds are pairing up - it'll just get kicked out.
newbold Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 if you dont know whats cock and hens and you just want them to pair up id put nest bowles in boxs with shavings in them and let the birds in loft to gether and they will pair them selves up. but if you want serten birds to pair together then you have to start locking them to gether for a few days
stewarty dove Posted December 27, 2008 Author Report Posted December 27, 2008 Yes they are 2008 bred, may just leave it for a bit. Will just leave the boxes open and the nest bowls in for the time beening cheers
