hotrod Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 the boys in our club use bricon with no problems at all , if you look through the threads you will see a lot on here complaining about unicon with all its updates .
Guest numpty01 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 well reading the problems with the uicoin think thats best left till they sort it out
dudley Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 nothing wrong with unikon, just people dont how to use it properly, ken
chichichi Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 They all do the same job,, they time your birds in,, some are more expensive ,, some are easier to use,,some have better service and help,, some have smaller clocks,, some have better pads,, some have better rings.. they all have their own proportion of good and bad points.. my advice would be to see your mates using their system and see if they are happy with what they have,, I run 3 systems at the min for the club,, Bricon,,Benzing M1,,taurus,, I have run unikon aswell but no longer run it.. I use bricon and find it very good and have not had any problems with it,, but they all do the same job.. find out wwhat you need,, then get quotes from all the companies,, how many pads do you need and what size they need to be,, pads are about £200 to £250 for 4 field 19 to 22" .. basic systems will start at about £250 to £350 .. a small pad will come with these.. so have a good look around,, remember they all need a pc to update and operate.. It is better to get what your club mates have as it is easier for the sec,, but any system you buy will give you a master.. best of luck,, If you need any advice on bricon or benzing message me with any questions.. ant
korhil Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 thanks ant, think i will do a bit of reading up on the various systems? just wanted a heads up on any with problems? does a club have to have all the same system ? or are they all compatible ?
collins and stevens Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Hiya mate, it is a not a case of which is the best system its the compatability and the knowledge of the systems used within your own club. We use the tipes system and have found it very simple to set and knockoff the races on the Bricon master, the unikon master and indeed on its own tipes master. The system can run 32 x 4 field pads withought boosting. Your best direction will be given I feel by the ets setters in your club as knowledge is gained on compatability and usage. Tipes is £295 with clock ,lead and 2field pads I believe it to be good value and v.v.compatable.
