Babybird Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 I usually find any stragglers are hungry on the roof when I get up in the morning. A sleepless night for your Dad me thinks

Guest puresoontjen Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 my dad let out his pigeons after only 1 week and a half and they have not still returned and its like 11:00pm what should he do ???? you just have to wait im afraid thay will work there way back when thay want food. FOOD is the key to get them back in the loft
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 from a shop :S When you say from a shop were they young birds that hadnt flew out before or were they old birds,if the latter they will have probably gone back to whoever bred them,go back to the shop and talk to the person who sold them to you.
pjc Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 If you got them from a shop in Birmingham called someting like "Beaks & Claws" and they were adults they were probably strays they caught from somewhere as they are stray catchers and they won't know where the birds came from! You will be better off starting with some youngbirds/baby's that will settle to your loft easily.
