barnsley_pigeonman Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i got told police made them let them go because there was somethink going of today
Guest numpty01 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 the birds were not over channel last night and i would be very surprised if any befor 5this eveuning if they have been in basket since last week they aint going be to hot on flying and from what i hear they should never have been put up at all ???if a lib is closed it cannot be reopened that day so the fed and race controler should have waited till they could or come back to place were they could lib this race i have no dout will be big mess
Guest slugmonkey Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 This does not sound good why lib so late ?
Guest numpty01 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 well if let go at 2 its proberly 270odd to coast then hit channel if heavy rain the no birds will be home at all been there had it total loss if over channel first thing this morning its another 5x6hours as its been peeing down again ?????and i would knock um back to 35miles hour so its touch go if they hit coast ?anyone know what channel was like?????
Guest numpty01 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 yep but what was it like that end and in the channel a few years ago we had wipeout with birds being washed up on beacjhes they were hit in channel by heavey rain forcing them down ?indeed its been known for them to fly into waves
mark Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i got told police made them let them go because there was somethink going of today they could of easily turned the lorry around and brought them back a bit closer.
pigeonpete Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Who checks out these liberation points surely if there anything happening there anybody going there should be informed in case of any holdovers would have thought RPRA should know whats going on and if you do get problems over there shouldnt they be there to help and try and sort it out bastille day in france today no pigeon liberations allowed :-)
Guest numpty01 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 problem being i dont suppose they knew they would still be over there they should have gone the weekend :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
Guest shadow Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 I think with climate change in mind all programs need to be looked at and changed for the benifit of the birds
carlsberg Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 birds were being timed in from about 9am onwards so some got over last night
