North road racer Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Hi guys, just looking for a few tips. I have my young cocks and hens seperated. Before i train them i let them intogether for a few minutes before i catch them and let them go together, when home i leave them for about an hour then seperate them again. Its thier first race tommorow. Would you let them intogether for a while (how long) before basketing. How long before you leave for the club do you basket them? Do you feed them on the friday if so how much? Thanks for any advice
Guest pigeon82 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 if there young it does not really matter but i had one pair of young birds sitting a day old baby in mondays race and i took 1st 3 pos in the club its good to get them motivated but every1 has their own opinion

swilcox Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 It sounds mad i know but i let them stay together Thursday then split them on Friday morning so they are nice calm again when i basket them on Friday evening, it works a treat.
