sorry this is nothing to do with pigeons but i would like to share it with you on sunday i went in to my weekend job at a pet shop and there was a blue box outside the door it was shakeing so i thought someone must have brought a pet back which they got and could not keep so i open it and out poped a very scared looking ringneck parakeet it had no tail feathers and no toenails anyway i took it in the shop then took it home because no one wanted it he is fine now i just wish i knew were it came from he has now stoped shaking.

This type of thing is happening often now, mainly due to people not having the money to keep their pets anymore.Pity they had to leave it on a step in a box. It could have ended up in the wrong hands or been attacked by a cat or dog.At least it lookslike it has found a good home now though. :)

He is a Cock bird. I have kept these in the past and have known hens to attack their partner when they are ready to go to nest if both are not compatible or in breeding condition. This could be the explanation for the missing toe nails.
