Halo everyone,

Its my first channel race this weekend.Only 108 miles........

Is there any thing i need to know now in prep for saterday?

I am flying 5 w/h cocks.

being only 108 miles i really wouldn't do anything different that if your results are ok as they are just be careful with the east winds did not look at the weather yet but east winds over the water would be cold

Stick some wee life jackets on them an they'll be fine(bunny)(bunny)(bunny) only kiddin, good luck mate.

East winds can cause mist on the channel at certain times because of heat transfer,picaville gives the birds at least a bit of a run before they hit the channel,, better deeper in france they hit the channel running,could still turn and make yearlings leaders run along coast putting much more than your 100miles,just hope a few older birds hit the front and pull your yearlings over,once they faced it ,it will hold no fears in future,unless of course sometime later in their careers they have to face it with night closeing in after many hours already on the wing,that will be the real test,best of luck
