Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hope you boys have a good race this week but racing from Maidstone into Wales on a Sat seems like suicide to me. I will be sitting this one out. All the best Rob.

All the best Rob. rob this will be our only race with the national as we bought birds in a breeder buyer,, but we are hoping for a good race,, these birds had chale the isle of wight last week and came well.. so fingers crossed.. lets hope for a clear run through ant
Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hi Ant, I am sure you are as aware as I am that when ever we have liberated YB's in Maidstone on a Sat it has not been a good race. Last year we liberated on a Sunday and it was the best race from Maidstone I can ever remember and the weather at our end was rubbish. I was hoping that the WNR were going to continue Sat basketing for Sunday racing as I would have liked to have sent but as we are racing from Maidstone 2 weeks Sunday I will keep them until then. I hope it turns out well though. Rob.
holmsidelofts Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hi guys, Good luck for the maidstone race. As promised a map of the liberation's due to take place on saturday, im glad im not sending with all thats going on. All the best though to everyone racing i really hope you have a decent race this week as we need it. jas
RICKY Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 WHERE DID U GET UR MAP AND POINT OF LIB FROM...
Guest Owen Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Well, looking at the map, I would'nt want the job of working out how to liberate pigeons to give us all a good race. I would bet that, although Jas has done a good job to show what we are up against, there will be Feds nor accounted for and not shown on the map. So what we are looking at is a best case scenario. Add into this, the effects of weather and reduced windows of opportunity because of it, and the picture looks bleak for our birds. As has been said before this, it is no wonder that we loose young pigeons when you see a maze like that. I think it is time we changed the route to one that gives our birds a proper chance of getting home.
Guest tom123 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 but what your all missing is the piont that its been like this with organisations crossing for many years but only this year have we lost so many ? so is it clashing
PIGEON_MAN Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Welsh National F.C. Not even mentioned in the BHW as being at Maidstone sounds like another problem if other feds dont even know your there.
Guest tom123 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 no once again it is a reviesed programme liberating with the welsh north rd fed
PIGEON_MAN Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 no once again it is a reviesed programme liberating with the welsh north rd fed Surely to help everyone out a revised race programme could have been sent to the RPRA for it to be included in the BHW.
Guest strapper Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 i hope this wind dies down....its terrible here.
Guest Owen Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Tom I don't know if it is clashing. And yes, you are right when you say that we have flown this route for years. Myself and others have been asking for an investigation into why we are loosing so many birds over the last few years. Everybody and his dog knows, and yet nothing has been done. We're are being ignored. I think you can take it as red that if this weeks race turns into another disaster, there will be even more very unhappy bunnies out there. I think the Officials are hoping that people like me will shut up and go away if they ignore us for long enough. I will not be going anywhere until I am satisfied that we are giving our pigeons a fair chance to return home. Count on it.
kevgrind Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 I think the wind is a major factor if it stays like this, i see the best day is Saturday for the weather this weekend so it looks to be the right day afterall, i wonder if these Sunday Libs will bring it forward incase of a holdover????
Guest tom123 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 how can officails ignore something they know nothing about this isnt the place to alter or dissscuss things of concern or greiviences do things the right way has you are aware of letter to club and club letter to fed then theres no come back
holmsidelofts Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 but what your all missing is the piont that its been like this with organisations crossing for many years but only this year have we lost so many ? so is it clashing Sorry tom it hasnt just been this year its been for at least 4 years now that people are being wiped out with heavy losses, remember i have been with the welsh north road before they went east to west and its gotton progressively worse every year, its impossible to avoid clashing on this road. As someone else said earlier about the wrong information in the homing world, yes its a revised wnr programme but we have know this for weeks, but every time its printed in the homing world the the information is wrong so how can all the feds around us know where we are if we dont make an effort to tell them. It only takes a phone call or an email to the BHW for them to change the information, but again as far as others are concerned we are at swindon this week not maidstone. Its time we stopped looking for excuses and we need to do something about it before its to late. Other feds are really starting to get pissed at us as we are causing lossages for them also by flying this route, i know this because i have had lots of emails from people in other feds wanting answers.
holmsidelofts Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 WHERE DID U GET UR MAP AND POINT OF LIB FROM... Map is from google maps, the lib points are taken from the BHW lib info at the back. I know this isnt 100% accurate as some feds have altered there program but it highlights the real issue we have. The liberation sites have also been crossed ref with the rpra website, they have lists of liberation sites etc on there website.
Guest tom123 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 yes but not only our race pionts are wrong so are others
