kev43 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 how do u show ur hens 2 your widowhood cocks and how long for b4 basketing for the race ?
blackdog Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 i let my hens through to cocks which are already in boxes letting them in 1 at a time, as soon as the last one is in i start taking them out,ie first in first out cock and hen, but this is for roundabout so i would say about 2 minutes

PIGEON_MAN Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Must admit I never show my cocks their hens before sending to a race,I think yearlings especially get very stressed by showing them their hens, when I train I allways make sure the hens are waiting in their boxes when they return so I think they know this when basketing for a race.
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 heres a tip 9 times out of ten the first cock to crouch down in his bowl and call will be your first bird home . try it and see
