i let my hens through to cocks which are already in boxes letting them in 1 at a time, as soon as the last one is in i start taking them out,ie first in first out cock and hen, but this is for roundabout so i would say about 2 minutes

Must admit I never show my cocks their hens before sending to a race,I think yearlings especially get very stressed by showing them their hens,when I train I  allways make sure the hens are waiting in their boxes when they return so I think they know this when basketing for a race.

heres a tip 9 times out of ten the first cock to crouch down in his bowl and call will be your first bird home . try it and see
