Guest strapper Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 to be honest there is no good stating the odds without the knowledge of the truth so there is no good untill we have the confirmation off gail. also the bird earns the trophy so wether the fancier is a member or not ..its the birds performance and not the fancier. ..i think all feds/combines in wales should have to become members by the whpu rules. then there can not be any trouble or thinking there is any under handedness. i think this would be fair on everyone then. i think there is some very good performances on show.

Go one step further, limited clubs, north and south, limited feds, one in each area and one combine/national for north and south! Reduce costs and better racing for all!
pjc Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 Gail is unable to login at the moment and has asked me to post the following on her behalf:- Gentlemen, interesting to read your comments and I suppose we will never agree as to what is the best performance/s for the relevant trophies. Thankfully we have an outside independent to judge the performances for these trophies. He made his decision on what he believed was the best performance for each of the trophies. Agreed, there have been some outstanding performances in all of races flown under WHU Rules this year, and unfortunately not all can win. It may be interesting to know that in the majority of cases, the Queens Cup & T G Buffett trophies have been won by performances from races flown at distances of 400/500 & 600 miles. With regards to performances of JO Davies & Taffy Bowen, I have not listed these yet and will do so as soon as possible.

Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Gail, This clearly wasn't meant for you, if you read my earlier posts I asked Tom if he could confirm one way or not and he said he couldn't help, yet this was taken from HIS website, you have been more than helpfull to the partnership this year by collating combine results etc... I do feel however, its now time to take this off-line and have the officials of the Union to get this mess sorted. Rob.

Gail J Posted October 26, 2009 Author Report Posted October 26, 2009 Robert, Taffy Bowen Cup is up to 300 miles as albear and maxwell stated, if I had been in work over the weekend then yes I would have posted. Your one performance was over 300 miles as was Lovell Bros, their performances was judged without that one race, it was not eligible, it was NOT taken into consideration, the same as was done for you, if you had won it yours would have been read out in the dinner, the same as Lovell bros. I will now put up Taffy Bowen result. I forgot to put the miles on the other performances. Queens Cup Metz 451 miles Saverne 509 miles T G Buffett Reims 364 miles Heilbronn 572 miles

Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Gail, If that is the case how did the WHPU allow people to publish this? I believe it was also published in the fancy press, I am waiting for the copy. Its not about winning the trophy now anyway, this shine has been taken away from it as you can understand. I and a lot of other fanciers in Wales, feel the WHU still have a case to answer to, as the undestanding of many people is that is was Judged on the Brussles performance. Rob.
Gail J Posted October 26, 2009 Author Report Posted October 26, 2009 If you mean in the BHW then the performances are not put in

Guest Rhondda RedFox Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Strapper - as stated earlier this has now been taken off-line and will be dealt with appropriately.
Guest strapper Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Strapper - as stated earlier this has now been taken off-line and will be dealt with appropriately. rob m8..i have been informed that the brussels result on lovells brothers(last season) was not included in the judgement on that trophy and was just shown that the bird did go on to score after that . it is entirely upto yourself to continue in this matter but at the end of the day ,facts are facts. if you won the trophy then i would congratulate you on doing so,but as gail has stated one of your performances were not eligible for the trophy ...as was the lovells brussels result. it has been explained to me in detail now and i fully accept that all winners were correctly judged by an independent judge. i appreciate your stance in this and if you feel your performnce has been wrongly judged then you have the choice to put that straight which ever way the outcome is.,but in the same breath you must also accept that you may have misjudged the discission on who won. i do think that if any wrong doing happened it would be clear that it was....but its not and i feel that gail is the best sec we have had since ive started in pigeons..and gets my full backing . i feel that you should take up what ever matter you have with the powers that be and what ever the outcome put the record straight on here so not to tarnish the rightful winner of that said trophy. i shall not add further to this post as you need to have confirmed to you by who ever.
