Racing seasons

Hi, I'm new to pigeon racing and would like to know how many racing seaons there are and when they are?

in the UK there are 2 seasons, Old bird Season, March to July and Young birds season July to September ish.

1. short/sprint ( how many miles is this)

2. medium (how many miles is this)

3. long distance (how many miles is this)

look at the Louella pigeonworld site, they have birds for sale ,sprint, sprint to middle, and long distance,. not recommending u buy from them but will give you the strains.

would say very roughly

[1] up to 200 miles

[2]200 miles to 360 miles]

[3] over 500 miles
