i think theres a theres  fine balance in keeping yb,s on  a winning weight,, if fed too light , they will not grow/moult 100pc

in my opinion, some do this to win a few short races,, i dont think its worth it really, yb,s well fed , well trained , will soon  "muscle up" and  still win yb races  and  make better o,bs  :)

    * A variety of seeds and grains all of which are high in oil, protein and vitamins

    * During the autumn months fruit such as apples and pears left on the grass will attract a variety of birds

    * Cheese is enjoyed if broken up into beak sized portions

    * Dried fruit

    * Dog food

    * Beef suet

    * Cooked potatoes and rice

    * Fat cakes

For YB's you want to get the balance of carbs and protein right. Too little protein and they won't develop too much protein and they tend to get blue breasts and don't fly their best.

Whatever you chose to feed don't starve them if you race to the corn tin you may win a few crappy races and then nowt else
