Guest Owen Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Most of the publicity we have been getting has been adverse. Flying rats and defacing buildings are just a couple. There could be plenty of opportunities to expose the sport in a better light if we tried. These days we have a lot of things that could be exploited in our faviour. One Loft Races, ETS which enables the results to be put up on a screen, Community Television Channels and a lot more besides. I think we need to clean up our act a bit before we go into it with real energy, but it can and should be done. I often hear that the sport is dying and there is plenty of evidence to suport this view. How do we expect people to become interested when we hide away? The plain fact is that the General Public have no idea as to what we do and how we do it.
Guest IB Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Think you are being a bit hard on the photographer - not quite as ignorant as you make out, he first noticed bird was a 'different' colour from the norm, next that it wore a band. He also knew from seeing the band [iD ring] that this particular bird belonged to someone, and did not belong among the others.
Babybird Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Didn't like the comments about the bubbles
vanlink Posted November 26, 2009 Author Report Posted November 26, 2009 The point i am trying to show is that if its blue its a flying rat, if its white its a dove.
