ch pied Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 scrapyard , car fan's will run for ever & a day , wire them up to a 12v transformer , a voltage reduction switch to slow them down a bit , fit a timer , you have endless options .

Guest bigbok Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 i have a spray paint booth extractor fan attached and it comes on through a timer for 15mins before i enter the loft on the morning and is a absoloute must when i look over the fence it always looks like it has been snowing
mart_1986 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 scrapyard , car fan's will run for ever & a day , wire them up to a 12v transformer , a voltage reduction switch to slow them down a bit , fit a timer , you have endless options . dont forget the amps need to run a car fan i think its 10a to run 1 so if you have a transformer rated 12v 5amp it wont run at full speed and proberly burn out the transformer im currently building a ventilation with computer fans rated at 12v 0.25amps each fan so my power supply will be 12v 2amp so i can run up to 5 fans without burning my power supply out i will also hook them up to a thermostat set to 21celcuis then the fans will kick in

Set at 3-4 amp will give enough draw in the avg 12x6 sect , forget the batt side , just hard wire , with a 12v transformer , as i said , you can do all sort's ,( ie ) timer's , light foto cell's , thermal switche's , humidity sensor , the world is your oyster,,,,,have fun
