Williedoo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 If your going to Blackpool get a price at the Unikon stand.
DOVEScot Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 If your going to Blackpool get a price at the Unikon stand. They were dearer than any place else last year
Williedoo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 They were dearer than any place else last year That does not surprise me Duncan.
Guest frank dooman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 god thease systems must have shot up in price when all the talk was going on just a few years ago before they were acepted the manufactures were saying they were the same as a t3 about £300 quid now more than double plus the rings 100% increase in 2 years i think i will stick with my old t3
Williedoo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Some of the prices being quoted were without the pocket clock. Sounds cheaper.

Williedoo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 As far as I know you dont need it but would think you would have to take the base station to the club.
Guest frank dooman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 As far as I know you dont need it but would think you would have to take the base station to the club. strange one that willie so they were quoting prices for half a timming system a bit like stb giving you the clock without the drum
Guest frank dooman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Think a pocket clock is £220 so can you use that without the rest of the kit?
Guest frank dooman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 so its £600 quid for the full system ? or there abouts
DOVEScot Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 That does not surprise me Duncan. I notice they don't give the prices out on their uk website http://www.pigeon-ets.com/products.htm#loft American site gives the prices http://www.unikon.de/us/buy_online.html Someone said they were only £495 new but I am yet to fing them at that http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1256597789/
Williedoo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Round about that, without the pocket clock it must be like the Taurus where you have to disconnect it and take it to the club.
Guest frank dooman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 thanks willie i think i will stick to my cheap t3 no hidden costs there
mealybug Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 The basic Unikon system is £295 for a loft clock, 1 pad, 5m cable and power supply. The Champ 500 which is pocket clock ready but doesn't include one is £375 with the same accessories. The Champ PC500 is as above but includes a pocket clock. The Champ PC500 Text is as above with a pocket clock and includes the text facility. Pads are £110 each. Pocket clocks are £200 if bought separately and rings are £1.10. These are UK prices as of today's date. You can use the loft clock on it's own and just take that to the Club if you don't have a pocket clock.

Thanks, maybe they should just post prices in euros and we could buy when the rate is good :-/
Rebus Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 A struggle to buy one of these on the pension, and we were told it would be a great help to us old folk. (not counting the yearly cost of ETS rings.) ??)
