Walking pigeon races?

Have you ever heard of any pigeon races where they walk instead of fly?

 

Reason i ask, my old birds flew for around 5 mins this morning and have spen the last 2 hours or so walking around the house and garden!! They must walked miles and covered every square inch of the acre we sit on!!  ;D  ;D  ;D
