Guest cowboy Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 The area north of the hotel looked a hopeful spot for Portland - 4088 Location: Wasteland next to Portland Hights Motel Agent: Mr Neville Wadebridge - 07811 983659 Surface: Hardstanding Facilities: Water - YES / Toilet - YES Access: Locked Suitability: Artics - YES a day with bird watcher so why are we still fly birds from portland can some say > migrants with Sycamores providing ample feeding areas sheltered from the fresh winds. Our best sighting was a Lesser Whitethroat with Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs heard singing in the trees. A Peregrine was seen stooping at a flock of racing pigeons but most memorably we saw a very young Fox cub
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 There as been a couple of pairs of perigrines on Portland for a few years now BUT STILL FANCIERS CHOOSE IT AS A LIBERATION SITE,MY OWN FED ARE GOING THERE AGAIN THIS YEAR,WE HAVE DONE FOR APPROX THE LAST 3. :-/ :'(
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Then again there are bop everywhere so what race points can we pick.
Guest cowboy Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 It was bad whether it improved i dont know but i doubt it had people who been there seen what happens if the peregrine strikes you get them reported in France they just fly out to sea but I guess wherever you go now theres peregrines but there are lot there and they nest there Shame the RPRA dont spend bit of their time looking for some more decent lib sites
