Guest mick bowler Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Just thought i'd add bit of info on lots (that i have been given or familiar with) on sale WITH NO BIDS yet! If anyone would like me to add any info to their lot please PM me. Lot 6: Albert Tarleton. A legend in the pigeon sport and still winning well. Top sought after bloodlines. I’ve seen the quality of Albert’s Ybs and you would expect no less from such a top fancier. Lot 21: Trevor Hazell. These YBs will be bred down from birds from one of the best distance men ever to fly into the UK, Eric Cannon. These are leaving a legacy wherever they go. Lot 47 Nick Adshead. Home of some of the best Peter Van De Merwe birds in the UK, including the fabulous blacks. Nick has some great performances in the MNFC. If you've seen my blacks, that will show the quality Nick has! Lot 57. Andy Astley. Andy has some of the finest birds money can buy. Andy has recently moved but managed to fly YBs and had some great multi prizewinning performances (including 1st 2nd 3rd, 9 min clear, 49 miles!!). Top birds of the old original Planet Van Loons (Barry Intin, Huson & Lowe), M& D Evans Vandenabeele’s, Wal Zoontjens, Syndicate lofts George Litherlands etc. Well worth the £100 reserve as remember this is for 4 YBs! Lots 59 and 60, Vinny and Peter Sheedy. One of the sports unsung heroes, Vinny has organised many a charity sale and is always willing to give to other sales, as is his nephew Peter. Both have a good team of pigeons with up to date winning bloodlines. Lot 62 Steve Vaizey . Have a look in this weeks BHW, Milton HS prize giving, Steve and Barry are top prize winners. I know their Vandenabeele’s are from the best you can get, and having achieved some top one loft race results. Lot 63: Mr & Mrs Terry McGeechan, Top S*expletive removed*horpe loft and featured in the Simply the best DVD series: Lot 70 Spencroft Lofts. We have all seen Kevins pure Kirkpatricks that he sells on Pigeonbasics, lovely birds proven lines! Lot 73 Avril Douglas. Avril felt she could’nt offer us pigeons so she very generously offered us 2 “original†water colours, painted and signed by herself. I have seen these pictures and they are very good. Look in your local gallery and see how much an original costs! Also like to remind members of Lot 49, same way bred as 1st Open SNFC and Lot 51 a kit of 6, yes 6, Jos Thones!
Guest mick bowler Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Just a few extra details as requested on my own lot (78 ). This is what the sire won for Frans Zwols: The Dam as i say is a full sister to WLG's Miss Magic (as well as Sorceress), a hen they describe as their "best racer ever". She was the best racer in fed and combine and was only once off the prize list as a YB, including winning 1st and 2nd combine as well as 1st 2 bird open. She is Verkerk x Van De Rhee. Breeding and perfromance, never paired together before, but will be surprised if they fail!

Guest mick bowler Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Just had an update fro Alf (Alan Torrance) for Lot 27: Stock consists of sons and daughters of birds that have topped the fed 6 times and 8 times and that have won a lot of races aswell. Two of these out the 3 bred me winners the 1st time of asking that's why i put forward to help your sale. I also have 2 hens bred by John Crehan from Manchester and 1 was 2nd club 7th open in our 1st y/b race nearly 7'000 pigeons and the other bird won the 4th y/b race that year mate but the hen that was 7th open in the fed bred a winner in her 1st nest and he won over £150 pool money in the 1st 5 old bird races this year and the other hen bred a 3rd section from 120 mls with over 2'000 pigeons at the race. Alf is offering 2 YBs, buyers pick from the above, great offer! Currently just £30, worth a lot lot more and i know the parents would of cost an awfully lot more, but more importantly they are breeding good birds!
Guest mick bowler Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Do you like the blacks? If so it is possible lot 22, Tony Austin, could be blacks. These were obtained from the best Darren Peters has (Darrens words), and have been admired by all that have seen them in Tony's loft. Tony has 3 of the blacks so there is a possiblilty (no gurantee tho) that these YBs could be black or even throw blacks, and whats more possibly from the best lines and performance blacks in the UK!
Guest mick bowler Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Worth a look Lot 41 Keith Arnold, currently just £60! http://www.elimarpigeons.com/ArticleA/KeithandSueArnoldofLeamingtonSpa2.htm
Guest mick bowler Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Some more info on lot 49, Stuart Mullan (Hotrod) given to me by Stuart: another bit of info mick ,the sire of the y/b has bred other birds to score at national leve (one that was 1st club 1st fed only 2 birds in race time at 543 miles) another that was (1st club 1st fed only bird on day from 543 miles) ( pairede to a half sister to the dam of my 1st open winner ), in fact he has bred numerous winners from 60 miles to 590 miles mostly in hard days might i add , the dam has also bred some great birds a cock that won 125th open 580 miles and 167th open at 570 miles . a full sister to my 1st open was given to my good friend frankdooman (frank baillie clackmannan) he has a loft full of winners from this hen (he lost it off the loft last year ) out to 580 miles also 1st combine at 380 miles from her , this will be the very last y/b off this pair to leave my loft as the cock is 13 and the hen is 11 A lot to definitely push the boat out on, the LAST ONE!
