Guest lenwadebob Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Well I agree with all that has been said. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I know Gary feels the same. Gary and I put a lot of time and effort into this auction, not for self praise, favour of gain, BUT for the benefit of a very worthy cause, as do all those who run auctions on this site for similar worthy causes. I can understand Gary not wishing to put names up, as on the W Pryde Auction it caused him problems by putting names up, and it is causing problems for him now but NOT putting names up. DAMNED IF HE DOES AND DAMNED IF HE DOESN'T. Hardly fair after the effort put into this. I feel that the site owners should enforce a standard of etiquette whereby non payers should be accountable for their actions. Quite how they intend to do this, I will leave it to them to scratch their heads and ponder over. What bothers me is that yet another worthy cause has become tainted by a few individuals who cant put their money where their mouth is, and cough up.

DONT think we all know the effort the too of you put in that is certainly not in doubt eccelent job the sad thing about this worthy cause is fanciers have promised off there very best birds for this action ( the birds are still available and someone else could finish it off by offering them for a few hours one night as its a lot of money just to discard without giving the 2nd or 3rd highest bidders a chance to get them instead of letting them that has spoiled it for others get there way as doing this will stop fanciers donating to other neady causes as you know this is what outsiders will take notice of us helping others
retired Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Once the list is supplied to Fifer or myself we will take a look at things and make a decision on where to go with failed bidders. Taking into account - http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1264701909/ In the case of the Heroes sale we will then talk with the organisers of this sale and come to an agreement over the unsold lots etc.
