Guest madpup Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I think you are not reading and understanding what Tony has written! There are many that have taken advice from others and found further down the line it was the wrong advice, maybe a club member sending you down a dead end rd, Tony has clearly picked out the bits of information he feels will benefit him. He has a lot of very good fliers in his area and holds his own with them and the LNRC so must be doing something right! I dont think the lad wanted to be preched at just a simple answer to a simple question :-/

Guest Owen Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 The people I have learned from is endless. Some of my learning has been on the basis of what "not to do". Here goes. Colin Pearce at Pentwyn, Jason Edwards (holmside lofts), David Parsons the Vet, the late Taffy Bowen, The Old Hand (mostly what does not work), Mark Evans, and many, many more. Most of my learning has come from my involvement with other creatures and from the hundreds of books I have read and the experiments I have tried. Some a disaster but some have come up trumps. But I have to give thanks to the birds that have had to put up with my fumblings and mistakes. And to my stuborn refusal to change when I was following an idea that ended up as just another flight of fancy.
TREBLE D Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Billy Bowden of Chopwell, one of the best pigeon flyers ever in the north east could listen to him all day, if he lived in Holland or Belgium he would of been known world wide.
