DOVEScot Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 I believe an 'intelligent chip' in the pigeon's life ring is a step forward for the sport. For example, if it also made it possible to track the bird it would help us understand better what was happening on race days. If an audience could watch a pigeon race unfold 'on screen' - on TV, e.g Saturday Sports, or on PC, and people found that interesting, it could also open up the sport to sponsorship. Wider publicity might also bring in new members. Will it still display information for the likes of non fanciers that find birds?
THE FIFER Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I saw a couple of rings being delugged tonight using a nail clipper and stanley knife to trim them. Sandpaper if required. Yes there is a risk of water ingress. just be careful and put a wee drop of superglue on the cut, this will seal it,
