I had a similar issue with them. i phoned them up to order a book, was told yes we have plenty in stock, they took my card details and i paid for next day delivery, 5 days later still no book, i was on the phone screaming at them to be told sorry theres nothing we can do, they didnt even give me my next day delivery charge back. that was the 4th time in a row i had delivery issues with them and that was the last time i ever dealt with them. the best thing they can do for the fancy is go under which hopefully thats the way they are going. as others have said use murray and mills or taylors far better service.

 

 

hi jas m8...i wonder will they be at the welsh show :X...i usually get my stuff from p j,s now after b&r let us down on various occasions.

 

the only reason they do well at the show is because they must order stock in especially for the show.

 

sending for club stuff was a nightmare .

I was having lots of issues with receiving goods ordered from them a couple or so years ago .

They told me it was because i lived in secluded part of the higlands .Ok i thought ,fair enough .

I ordered 6 sets of Leige up and over boxes from them in late october 2007(just as they started to advertise good deals on wooden loft equipment for christmas )

 

These boxes were reduced to £150.00 a set of four from £180.00 .now i thought this a great deal !(TOTAL=£900.00)

I was informed my boxes would be with me in just under three weeks .Not a chance ! I waited nearly four months and was well into 2008 by the time they arrived .

I will never use them again .I have bought at trade stands because the stuff they sell is good stuff but mail order forget it .

 

The problem is that the person you talk to for enquiry's on the end of the phone is not a fancier and they have no problem with telling us fancier's a pack of lies .because they think us from the slum's.

I made nearly 30 phone calls to them about my boxes and i never had a straight answer yet .

The problem is they expect payment upfront .

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

A lot of the normal stuff fanciers stock up on at Blackpool they hadn't got, nest felts and widowhood fronts etc.

They were expecting delivery in March!

 

yes, but i was also meaning the loss of stall space, big loss to the organisers of the show and would be hard to fill,

well i placed a order from body and ridewood!! and it took 2 weeks ( but i live in south ireland ) for my order to come over due to waiting on york cups and gardex!! but they were grand on the the phone anyway!! and there is a another fancier close to me and never complained about them!!

but if they dont bother suppling for us pigeon men anymore could anyone recommnend a supplier tha will deliver to ireland?????

well boddy and ridewood gettin a bashin here .   the have just brought out new catalouge

 

so dont think there going under .

 

Really suprised with all the bad press they getting on here ,  As i said i have used them

 

for over 20 yrs and always got my stuff strait away .  Could not say a bad word about them  :) :)

I placed an order that did not come after weeks. I then started Court Procedings. They sent the money back on the last day possible. I do not think I would have gone that far if they had not been so rude on the phone. They were lucky they were not nearer because I would have loved to have walked in to see them. I wonder if they would have been so cheeky then.

Strange how they let their reputation slide.

Poor service and run arounds, business on these grounds doomed to fail.

Taylors choice seem to be the new choice.

Simple and no run arounds. All over forums you just hear of good service.

 

This small minded fancier wont buy a thing from them again.

Wouldn't worry about it, got told on the phone when complaining the other day they are fed up with us small minded pigeon men anyway. Guess they better find something else to sell to a different audience.

Please be assured we certainly don't consider our customers or pigeon fanciers "small minded".  (I consider myself a pigeon fancier although I no longer have birds due to work commitments). The "small minded" reference was in response to a forum posting that was totally untrue and seriously defamatory.

 

My staff and myself work so hard trying to provide a good service and please believe me when I say most posts are totally without foundation. Yes, we do make mistakes but we do our best to put the matter right.
