Guest bakes Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 is there anyone doing training picking birds up in nuneaton areas if so how much bird entry and were best to get the birds picked up from as a good mate of mine has moved back with his mum down devon and i use to give him petrol money to take our birds for tosses as me or the misses dont drive really need them back in the basket before the season starts back up any information would be much apreciated all the best klaus

I've been in the same position as you (don’t drive) for donkeys years. Have made mistakes by wanting to train and sent them on training wagons only for the weather to change and have taken a wallop. One or two tosses is all you need, I've even put them straight into the first race 72miles without having a training toss. Don’t take unnecessary chances with the season nearly upon us.

Don’t take unnecessary chances with the season nearly upon us. thanks tony i'll just keep them exerciseing round home they was trained lightly as ybs and had a few as yearlings there exerciseing well doing 1hr morning and night thats all they wont to do is fly as soon as the section door is open there straight out of loft and up flying all the best.
