dwh Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 thats where they,ll be. only using marks trap as a example how easy it would be to trap bird in sputnik open front doors catch and clock WE TRAP TO AN OPEN WINDOW THE BIRDS DROP ONTO A DROPPING BOARD RUN THRU OVER THE PAD AND THRU THE BOBS WE IN NEHU BUT THE LIKELY FOLLOW SUIT SHORTLY
Guest rodders Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 think nehu have worded the rule best when loft is shut no birds can be timed which is the way mine is but under rpra no good when i raced to open doors never shut door or locked bird up when clocking so under new rule on ets illegal but ok if using t3?????????????????????? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Guest frank dooman Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 the 2 white blocks are where the birds land on the outside one and the inside one is where the bird walks over to get timed in b4 they go through bob wires into the loft if the rpra don`t allow this type as they were leagle last year then they can get f***ed if they are going to see anymore of my money david bills as a flyer himself should see the implications that this new rule is going to do to the fancy all i could say is all traps installed after 31/3/2010 should complie to new rules all traps before should still be used as they were complieing with 2009 rules. david bill,s is a flier yes RAF jets as far as he told us are you saying he has pigeons?
Guest vander mungo Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 WE TRAP TO AN OPEN WINDOW THE BIRDS DROP ONTO A DROPPING BOARD RUN THRU OVER THE PAD AND THRU THE BOBS WE IN NEHU BUT THE LIKELY FOLLOW SUIT SHORTLY that was the starting question should birds be timed before bobs or after bobs, although pads are confined to loft ,should this also be the case for the birds asi other trapping systems birds are not confined when timed in
hotrod Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 new rpra rule now says a ets timed bird must be timed whilst confined in thel loft ,and not within the confines of the loft. i used astall trap before ets and on occasations had birds turn in trap after removing rubber, before i could let bird in loft it was of flying again not confined. also i have seen birds removed from sputnik traps a sheet of clear perspex on back of trap stops bird being confined to the loft, front door of trap is oppened ,bird removed and timed outside loft.bird is then put in loft. again where does this rule stand with the open door system,do you have to close door before clocking or bird is not confined.dont think these boys would risk that might be one seconds behind it so whos trapping fairly and whos not this bit about catching a pigeon in a sputnik billy ,did the guy catch the bird take off rubber and put rubber in a thimble and then clock it in ? so the pigeon was confined in the loft/trap so could not get out until the fancier let/took it out so whats the problem . and before all the ETS brigade come on ,ive been saying this for years about the rules on it are not clear enough and should be looked at ,so well done the RPRA . i hope other unions will follow suit.
Guest rodders Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 SO STALL TRAP ARE ACCEPTABLE? yes for manual clocking dont know about ets cos even tho bird confinded ets pad would be outside loft under stall trap so prob open to objections
retired Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 are the 2 white blocks there to board up in bad weather on inside could use clear perspex ,would stil let sun in I just placed an order with a local joiner to build me 4 traps of the same design as yours and the RPRA can get screwed if they think i am changing them again.
cowman Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 david bill,s is a flier yes RAF jets as far as he told us are you saying he has pigeons? yes thats correct he flys with the malvern 2 bird club same as pete and sue smith and the rpra one loft manager 2 name 3 that i know of . oh mark your traps are ok if you have a loft that you can fit them in like that mine are on the doors so you would not get into loft if the pad was fitted like yours .

Guest vander mungo Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 this bit about catching a pigeon in a sputnik billy ,did the guy catch the bird take off rubber and put rubber in a thimble and then clock it in ? so the pigeon was confined in the loft/trap so could not get out until the fancier let/took it out so whats the problem . and before all the ETS brigade come on ,ive been saying this for years about the rules on it are not clear enough and should be looked at ,so well done the RPRA . i hope other unions will follow suit. stuart, bird was taken outside sputnik from outside loft timed then let in through ddoor of loft, blocking perspexs not removed untill pool bird timed, then birds could use sputnick for entry old friend of mine dead now youll now who iam talking about
