I have two white Logans YBs coming tomorrow, I only have YBs in the loft at the mo. Will it be ok to put the new birds in with the others ? or will the older YBs bully them especially as they are a different colour ?  :-/

Advice please

i wouldnt just put the birds straight into the loft my friend ..keep them isolated for a few days to make sure they are healthy ect before introducing them to your loft...just my opinion

really, you should be looking at isolating these birds for a while.to make sure everything is allright with them.

any new birds coming here are isolated for two weeks..just as a precaution :)

when you do introduce them into your loft, try and put them with birds of similar age..all the best

I agree peter, i would never put birds form other lofts straight in with others, keep them on there own for a few days get them tested for worms, cocci then when you a comfortable that they are ok put them over, Also if they are very young and your other birds are older they will struggle to keep up with them when it comes to eating

In additions to others' comments, I have noticed that lighter coloured pigeons can on occasion be singled out for attention by other older YBs. I'd a white grizzle chased all round the section last year? till it was 'adopted' by one of the others that chased off the bullies. When you do eventually let them run together, just keep watch for reactions.
