fletch Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 have lost a real good old racer out of the garden today he went for a fly they were away for 45 mins with 5 of the other stock pigeons, the other 5 came back, he wasnt there, hopefully he comes back but he is never had a night out in his racing life, had 4 x 1st from 82 miles up to 226 miles. he is got 2 young in the nest who are 18 days old, hen will be ok for next few days if he doesnt return, but really hope he comes back!!

soapy Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 yer right rambo ,one of them big bugga,s with the pointed wings was sniffing about here today and my mated had an attack on saturday morning it missed both times, his birds was very nervous today.
Guest kev d Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 still time for him to come back , last week i went down the loft found a big pile of feathers on the grass birds flying round but came straight down when they saw me but one hen was missing she was missing over night but was there next morning . then the day after one of my yearlings hens lost her tail nothing left so she as had a close shave with a hawk while flying out birds are on open hole up to know lost none , but i must say birds are realy fit now .
fletch Posted April 13, 2010 Author Report Posted April 13, 2010 sorry to say this old boy has been found dead he has been shot and found in my dad's neighbours garden am really gutted now, but at least i now what happend to him, am peed off but nothing can do now, have 2 young birds ready to be weaned of him hopefully one of them will replace him next year
