You won't find animal lovers considering them humorous. They'll consider them as self serving and callous.

when you get a spare moment go on to the rspb site and any of the other "pro" hawk sites and see what they say,i really am not that bothered as to what "animal lovers" have to think about, most  animal lovers like all animals not just the chosen few,my own personal view is that, i am more than happy to see a sparrow hawk twatted 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Visiting conservation sites isn't high on my list of priorities. Pointing out that you aren't helping the cause of pigeon flyers by being flip is.

and that is the good thing about freedom of speech, i can be as flip as i want to be ,frankly that dead sparrowhawk has done more good for pigeon fanciers than i would care to admit,at least there are some birds in their loft tonight that would not be,if that flying bit of cxxx was still breathing :o :o :o :o :o

Freedom of speech is a great thing, thats why I'm not bashful about saying what I do. You do more to harm the sport by poking fun at someone else's passion then by simply showing them how you are being harmed.

sorry but by the looks of things, someones passion appears to involve turning a killing machine into a bleeding pancake 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Do you really think anybody will care about what happens to your pigeons if you make remarks like these for others to see? I spent what to me was a good deal of money for a kit of birds to start in this sport last fall. I've lost birds to hawks already, thats life. Breed a couple extra.
that is what caused the problem in the begining [breeding more =more food for more hawks to survive ]come on think about it ,you probibly dont have the amount of BOP  we have here ,i got 72 known   goshawk nest  in a ten mile radious of my loft plus 8 pairs of peregrins ,and god knows how many sparrow hawks .pluse x breds ,i said before i dont care what others think neither should any one else ,i dont see them asking if there is any thing they can do to help us [*expletive removed* them and their BOP]

This post was put on in a light humoured manner. Nobody is promoting the killing of these creatures that I can see on the thread. There are lots of tongue in cheek comments and what is the harm. It is a bit like a david and goliath scenario and lots of people like to see the under-dog come out on top. Many fanciers in this country have to stomach the damage that these creatures do to the birds that they love. Finding the remains of one of your best racers or one of yours or your childrens favourutes can be hard to take so maybe some may feel that this balances the books in some sort of way.

You'd be better served posting pics of your gutted pigeons on the conservationist sites as opposed to this. Play to their sympathies for all things living, but hey if you think this working go all out.

My friend Les (the voice of reason). You should consider yourself fortunate to live in such a wonderfully diverse nature preserve. ;)
