the rpra has set up scheme for fanciers to report any hawk attacks and they want pigeon fanciers to report any attack; damage-fatal/injured/escaped whether the attack was seen with a view of compiling a program to present to the appropiate authorities at the end of the year and try to do something about the problems we are all having in the pigeon fancy

I think it would be in our own interest to report any of our attacks as the more ammunition they have to work with the better

They are asking the revelent information to reported by e-mail at hawks@britishhomingworld.co.uk entitling your message hawk watch

Has anyone else heard of this?

Posted

worse than that  robert unpaid labour from pigeon men to help BOP would make great publicity would it not i dont doubt the shu and the members concerned were doing it with the best intensions but they are playing with the big boys in the rspb not fanciers they will twist everything

every one knows my views on hawks ,i will tell you about a talk i had on the phone with our so called head man ,i simply asked why do this hawk watch ,then i explaind that it was a complet waist of time and the reasons why ,his reply was \he agreed with me ,, but at least people will know where and where not to train from,i also told him i already new the answer to that ,BRITAIN. all he could answer was ,at least it shows im showing interest , i just said make the most of your job ,it wont last long ,because of the amount of hawks and nothing can be done . the point im making is NO ONE CAN OR WILL STOP THE CARNAGE ,only your self .when will it sink in .

and please tell what will happen ,even if we was listend to by jo public  and the RSPB.and how  could  our problem be solved .

a start would be to be allowed to protect our birds within a certain radus of our lofts by killing them not catch and realise

Posted
just like they wont or ever will allow the farmers to kill badgers to protect their cows from TB ,it will never happen

les is right.

rpra would be better off spending money to attract young fanciers to the sport.......

josh ur intensions are good but dream on ,the rspb are so

powerful with contacts and money, the shu combined with

the gamekeepers ass have acheived very little over the

last few years .forget about causes, and race your pigeons.

the rspb wont realise until it is to late that all they have to twitch is birds of prey. the public are on their side .

its a well known and proven fact that many racing pigeon rings are found in and around perigrines nests, the rspb regularly clear these rings [these rings have been seen on their own webcams by the public],,,

THESE RINGS HAVE BEEN BOUGHT AND PAID FOR,,,, AND OWNED BY THE REGISTERED FANCIERS, THESE RINGS BELONG TO THE REGISTERED FANCIER,

COULD THE RSPB BE CHARGED [WITH PROOF] THAT THEY ARE IN FACT STEALING SOMEONES PROPERTY??
