Has anyone flown late hatchs that have not completed a full molt (wing) and if so what have the results been.  Good or bad.   Its my thoughts that they should have a complete molt before flying as obs.  Any thoughts.  Thanks.  Ed

You get some good ones but most late hatch birds struggle as yearlings if the races are hard :)

Latebreds for most fanciers are deemed as a nuisance and they don't receive the same amount of due care and attention so come time for them to race as yearlings they fail.

However, there are some superb fanciers I know up here that love em, they will breed a squad of latebreds from their best racers that season and they are trained all winter regardless of the weather and they do get a good strike rate later on.
