Try the darkness system mate, with the light system you have to pull flights out your birds to hurry the moult on .I would imagine you dont want to do that.

You accelerate the moult with the increase of light in the day, with an emphasis in the birds completing the wing moult.Hence the pulling out of primaries.The ybs compete in races with full wings and good feathering.

They should be lightened for 20 hours of the day.Set the lights to go off 4 hours before sunrise, because I think the system works better that way.The birds should be through the moult before training starts.

early breeding without darkness or light system is my choice.If early enough bred they will go through moult and hold primaries for longer races.But if I had to choose then it would be the darkness system

i would put birds on darkness forget about lightness
