theres a few school of thoughts about pairing on a new moon as birds can coo and call well into the night helping them pair up better , other idea is ybs hatch on a full moon so birds can feed there young  :-/

A friend told me(he might be wrong) because of gravity, pairing your birds or having

eggs hatch on FULL moon is no good cause the gravity makes them a bit looney!!!

Must be something in it with all the medical terms derived from it in the Lunatic area of the asylum :-/

Must be something in it because even farmer and gardeners go by the moon cycles when sowing their seed, but as to the theory side I havent a clue

Yes gravity is the major cause of lunacy. Find any one of those big egos floating around full of hot air, tell them a few home truths, the hot air soon dissipates and they come down to Earth with a bump. They tend to go a bit looney. ;)

A lot of people believe in it but have never let influence me when I used to pair up :)

quiet true i belive in it as have seen them feed youngters well into the dark that the only reason i do the way i see it cant do any harm any way so why not

It is a fact that all animals/birds/fish life cycles are ruled by the luner or tidal activity. Olden day farmers always planted or bred stock on a new or rising moon. From my own personnel experiances I can assure anyone that rats/rabbits etc. can be trapped a lot further from thier earths on a new moon up to full. When the moon is on the waste it is a different story. I always pair pigeons/dogs/ferrets on a new moon........ Old supperstion or nature???? Any comments welcome...
