I would only consider flying cocks only on widowhood. It suits me in every way. The birds trap well. They exercise like steam trains. And they do not take up all that much time. But the thing that I like best, is the fact that I don't get that terrible smell and mess that you get from hens.

It took me quite some time to learn how to do it, but, to me, it has been worth the effort.

This time of the year the cocks live in an aviary and they look a picture. I have great pleasure every time I look at them.

These days I am trying to come up with a system of widowhood for the young cocks. I am not there yet but I will get there.
