Silvre Toye

[Speed Demon]

Hi all,

 

I have a small family of the Silvre Toye bloodline that a mate passed onto me, but i dont know much about them. can someone help please.

all i can say about them is they were very good pigeons in my time many years back,,,,,not heard from them for many years now !!!

 

try putting it in google search might help !!

thanks for your replies. I feel that i may have made a small mistake. I've placed one of them with a Janssen / Staf Van Reet Hen. do you think thats a good combination knowling one is distance (ST) and the other is sprint?

would be interesting to see the outcome later when racing the young,,,,very interesting,,,,dont know what will happen till you race them basically !!

jase the europa winner now owned by john howman  "bubbles" was bred at the natural breeding station belgum is a toye bird, i think he has it paired to the winner of the s-west 1 loft race a janssen and i can be corected have produced winners at various distances for john and others.. toye won almost all to be won in belgium with his family of birds adding a cross may put new vigour into the family you wont know unless you try...

Speed Demon !!!!!!!!!! many of us here could tell you 1001 theories   ;) on how & what to mate to what etc. Much of it in my view is pie in the sky type of thing  ;D ;D ;D, so if I was you !!!!!! I would put them in a box together & see what comes of it in the basket on race day & if they are no damm good  :'( :'( :'( split them up & try again with another mate. Now !!!!!!!!!! pigeons being pigeons, you just might ??????? get a surprise at what happens.

PS. If they turn out any good   :) then I will have a pair of you "PMSL", as the way I've been going of late, I need a few quickies for those blow homes etc.

Back in the 80's i brought Les Davenport Cattrysse. Les himself had won a young bird national, but told me i would not win young bird races on a regular bases. In 1985 i won every young bird club race also the Mid-Anglia Fed (now defunked). So what i am saying its your methods with young birds not the strain.

I think it was more Les's way of feeding, he would keep the on a heavy mix ALL year round. But in his time he was the best (or one of them) distance flyer's in this country.

Think he sold peter pau for about 40,000 might been bit more   Funny we got on to cattrysse on here as i think silvere toyes birds are based on the cattrysse or they used to be

 

i think cattrysse had a lot to do with silvere toye many years ago and they swapped pigeons,,,,,,that was very long time ago now !!!

thats about the right time rose,,,,remember the write ups on him then and cattrysse too,,,,best pals,,,,do the same then as they do now,,,,,best from every fancier there to there own pigeons !!!!swap all around each fancier,,,,,then fanciers go over there pay stupid prices for pedigree pigeons,,,,makes ya laugh !!!!! more money than sense most fanciers !!!
