pigeonpete Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Had a really strange yb drop with mine last night, would'nt come in, thought i was seeing thing's with the sun, but was deffo 100% what i saw, It was a normal chq w/f down 1 side, and the other wing was a bronze chq. I had to look at this bird 2 or 3 times before i believed it. Was a cracker aswell, Anyone ever seen a bird like this before? or indeed got 1? He stayed for about 5 mins after mine went in, Then went. What causes this? Any ideas or theories? And no i dont need specsavers :-) It was before i had the vodka :-)
kots1 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 i you get half siders in a lot of different birds pigeons canaries budgies etc, just a we disfuntion on the genetic make up side, you also get humans born with both sets of genatallia.
Guest Freebird Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 It's a mosaic. I had one when I was a lad and was offered a good price for it at basketing but refused ( could have done with the cash too ) lost it first race. One wing red chequer, other light chequer. Very strange looking but interesting. I'll get some photos from web.

pigeonpete Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 wow, they dont look real do they, look like a cut a shut job :-)
Guest Freebird Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Did you manage to keep it? and did it do any good mate? As I said lost it first race and never seen again. Suppose if it went into a loft they would probably keep it 'cause it sure was different. I had just started up and it was bred by a friends father who I gave a couple of rings to. He'd never seen the like in all his racing days and it did cause a stir at the club. Awe well, never mind (evil)
Guest numpty01 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 nice birds and nice music to go with it ;D ;D ;D
Shortcut Lofts Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Seen one in Dublin Show last year - Blue Cheq on one side and Red Cheq on the other. Also know a guy had one the same.
Guest spin cycle Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 http://www.angelfire.com/ga/huntleyloft/mosaics.html i love the little clock that follows the cursor about the page. i thought the pigeons looked a bit 'freaky' JMO though.
