Chris aka Numpty Mr Link.

The Yearling Race has been running with the Fed for the last 2 years we have never had any complaints from the Federation or Club they welcome the challange everyone voted for david bills to join more birds more prize money and if your good enough they can be beat. I cud send 500 myself to the club but that does not mean i am going to win. Fact last year me sending 30 birds per week against the one loft i beat those birds by minutes each week 4 from 5 races. This year they have beaten mine 5 from 6 races as my are not in form this year as last.

Anyway the ENTRANTS PAY to enter and any cost that are along the way sending to the club etc come out from these fees.Dont worry Chris nothing from your pocket. If you read the Yearling race rules and race programme the Entrants are not in the Dark on that they are going to race against the Fed and BBC.

Happy Days..

yep thats another ten quid you owe me for useing my name ??i still dont see the point in it being one loft race if flying birds in feds

Its more of a challenge as a Yearling for them to go up in a National of 400 miles there is a Seperate One Loft result. Live with it as its here to stay...

It seems to me, that these guys who can afford hundreds of pounds on one loft racing, have a cheek, to expect their birds to be convoyed on the cheap.  Most of these transporters have been paid for by the rank and file of the sport, who are in a worse financial position than the one loft gamblers.

Why is it that a certain few seem incapable of reading what is written in the first post YET seem more than capable of reading something into a post that isn't there. Surely if you want to debate something base your argument on FACT not SUPPOSITION. This thread, from what I can see started of with all good intentions, then the few start getting personal and turning it into a petty argument.

Maybe a compramise would be to allow these birds to be convoyed with large organisations but not compete with them just compete with the other 1 loft entrents.

Its not viable for RPRA to send the trailer to France etc with 100 birds so these races provide valuble training for the main event.

I was replying to posts similar to this one!

If your talking about the luxury trailer they have at the 1loft race HQ I think you will find that was payed for from the entrants money.

Yes he is, or at least that's the way it looks.  I had Van Link down as someone else to be honest, but in truth whoever it is keep posting, I like the hard factual postings done by whoever the hell he is, great questions that challenge the core of the sport.

not all off us that have birds at this one loft race can afford 100,s of pounds. we are a small syndicate between me and a few mates . we have sent 2 this year .i now have a few more mates asking why i did not ask them . so now it is looking we will be sending 4 next year regardless of how the 2 do this year. i for one dont expect my birds to be convoyed on the cheap if their is a price to pay i will gladly pay it.

I can assure you that VanLink and Numpty01 are NOT the same person as I know both of them, VanLink is Mike Link who is a fellow club member of mine and Numpty01 as you all know is Chris maidment who is a frend of mine and can hoestly say has no connection to Mike in anyway whatsoever so think assumption can be dropped from the debate immediately

I don't care either way Mark, being honest mate, Van Link posts excellent questions, and numpty or not I would like them to continue even if it bothers others.   I'm not here for the crack, I come on here for these types of questions, so long live Van Link.    :)
