schouwman71 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Regarding stock bird selection does anybody go by clear toe nail on straight coloured pigeons ie blues and cheqs with no white feathers at all for there breeding potential, ive used this method for years and must say have selected some fantastic breeders using this method, but must have more than 2 white toes on there feet.Les
Wiley Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 yes les i do like to see stock birds with white toes only in the blues and chequers

Wiley Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 the father and mother of my lofts both carry this trait, also have a yb chequer cock who carries this he was my best yb this year,i will try possibly one or two out of him cos i feel this is a gd trait, but i dont think it is the be all and end all of breeding pigeons as ive had many pigeons with black toes and bred very good pigeons
