Keepsmilingqueen Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Hi all, i have a question about white logans, i was considering aquiring a pair, but the thing i want to know is are they any good for racing or are they just pet/wedding material. When they race what distance are they best suited too ??? and finally are they at increased risk from raptor attack due to there colouration. im sorry if these questions have been asked before :B best wishes sharron
Guest CS Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Westy's friend Den sends his logan whites to Barcelona, they are long distance pigeons....
pigeonpete Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Hi sharron, i have nt got any logans myself but an old guy i knew years ago used to race them and he did o.k with them as ybs at all distances including sprint!! but a older birds they were best suited to longer races or hard day sprint. hope this helps, you will get good and bad in any strain so give them a try and find out for yourself As for the hawk problem dont worry about that, i am plagued with hawks alot of the time, and have a few whites, and the hawk will go for whatever it can grab! if anything they dont go for the whites because there unnatural get some blacks and the hawks think there crows speak soon :K)

Wiley Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 i would have thought it would have to be a generous price! Considering the birds havent been tested and use are currently still novices.
westy Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 it would be mate to a young fancier or a novice to anyone realy.
westy Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 im not in the sport for the money i just would sell a few pairs to make my corn money thats all evreyone wants white pigeons so.
