WulDon Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 all racers use petron stall traps with ets pads attatched to underside absolutely great on racedays just stand back and watch it all happen no chasing birds about the loft, don't miss any birds dropping when in loft clocking when away to club or not in attendance later in the day every one of your arrivals is recorded...very handy for monitoring the form of a pigeon

Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 At the moment Open Door, but I have a design problem with it and lose a few minutes following the bird in, and going to its nest box. Club is awaiting word on an ETS grant, and I am hoping to fit the pad at floor level on a single entrance to all sections inside the loft near where the birds usually land. So hopefully Open Door & ETS from April 2007.
tubbles Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Used open door for a number of years and with reasonable success but now have switched to stall trap for this year onwards (well perhaps onwards) Saw the idea on a good flyer in our area he made like an aviary on his loft and the birds go through the stall trap and can see other birds inside. This way he races to two sections and the only way in is through the traps and you only need one stall trap.
bazza Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 We have used the same sputnik for young and old birds and only had a bad trap when a strapper arrives with our bird! :
