Guest shadow Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Have always used a dog whistle when feeding them as young birds and they soon learn to drop out of the skies when it is blown and they remember it for the rest of their life
jimmy white Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 i like the idea of a dog whistle ,ive never tried it, but im sure the birds get used to yourself and your voice [even the tone of your voice] and the old feed tin there was a chap i remember, used an old brass, hand school bell , it worked fine, but it woke the neighbourhood up , the neighbours didnt complain about the birds ,, but they did the bell ;D ;D true
Tony C Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 My whistle comes out of mothballs for weddings, funerals and court appearances only and never worn in or around the pigeon loft. ;D
