1 more question, I want to start racing with young birds next year and have been advised not to join the club yet as I'l be paying weekly fees for old birds when I won't actually be racing anything. I'm still going to meet up with the club, so they'll probably advise me but will I still be able to get rings to ring the young birds as they are born?

 

By the way Paul, I sent the transfer off today.

thanks tariq m8,if u send off ur union fee to the same place as the transfers and the amount for rings u need, then u will get ur rings ,but if ur not a member, then u wont be able to have rings till the clubs have had theirs,....BUT..... if u ask a member to get more rings then he needs ;) ,then he can give u the amount u want and u transfer them over to ur name,it may cost a little more because of transfer but ur have ur rings.ask gail(whpu) for a block transfer when u need to transfer ur rings over to ur name, remember to get a wing stamp out of the bhw so that any of ur birds will be reported when if they stray.this is a union rule...any help needed give me a shout...paul
