darkknight Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 i dont know if this will work with pigeons but it works in Avery's get some cork tiles from DIY shop and sock them in clear spirit vinegar put them in you nest boxs when they have dried out and no mite will come close to them
ch pied Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 don't know which mite's they are , but as an added precaution , i would remove the straw & burn it, dip the bird's in a solution of ivomec based sheep drench , 3cc - 2 gallon's of luke warm water, use the water that you diped the bird's in , to spray out the loft
THE FIFER Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 put some crushed garlic bulbs under or in ur nest bowls,
polly Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 or give them garlic in their drinking water. I put 3 segments into a pint of boiling water and give them approx 100mls into their 2pt drinker when changing water daily.

Back garden fancier Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Put TCP in the birds bath ( tablespoon ) that will knock 'em straight off the birds.
