Cheers, I,m sure I,ve read in the past, that providing you rotate the eggs at least once a day, and keep them cool, you can keep them for 2weeks before slipping under another hen, someone may be able to be more precise though ;)

f you have a good search through the site youll find a posting on this,,,,i myself have had eggs put aside in the house in a cool place [not fridge]  turned them regular , dampened them each day and had them hatch, after about 10 days , but im sure there will be more experts than me able to give you more info , on that one [done this this year for 5 days  ,hatched ,,,,main thing i think is ,,,as long as they have not began to incubate [fresh laid eggs]

Its a long time since I have heard that expression Stilling Eggs, and have done it  many times with many different birds, remove egg straight away as soon as laid ,keep at loft temp, and turn on a daily basis,I have had eggs hatch after 17 days myself, how long after this they would stay good for I couldnt really say.

do this with my canarys all the time ,the first egg is taken out when laid in the morning then every eeg up untill five have been laid then all are put back in again ,so as they all hatch at the same time ,before anyone asks what it has to do with pigeons have done the same with their eggs had them laying about the loft for a month being the longest and still hatched and didn nt turn them every day not to say they dont ned to be though . ;)
