bewted Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 i should think not as mainly for horses and rabbit food !!! if i remember right,,,there thick broken stalk of the plant and mixed in i believe molasses,,,,but, dont take my word for it !!! only going from memory when i use to buy them many years ago now !!!!
Guest slugmonkey Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Yes and they like fresh alfalfa too I give mine alfalfa pellets in the off season especially winter, use them sparingly and only give every couple of weeks or so they have lots of vitamins and minerals I buy alfalfa pellets and NOT rabbit food the rabbit food often has additives and flavoring these pellets also have some plant protiens that I belive are needed look closely the smaller the better, you may need to feed these first as they wont eat them at first unless they are really hungry
Guest MBpigeonguy Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 i got a huge bag of bunny pellets form a feed company they are really dark in colour,
Guest Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Alphalpha is high in oil and quite rich,is generally used to produce show condition in horses or give extra energy to competition horses, never thought about giving it to pigeons :-/

Lennut Tar Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 well my rabbits are dead and i have a huge bag of pellets standing around. can i use them or not i sprinkled a few into my hens feeder and they are gone! You certainly can !!!!!!!!. All you would be doing is giving your birds greens etc, in given your birds these pellets, or you could if you wish. Mix some of them in there water troughs for them to drink etc. The end result will be the same. Enjoy
