In the last 48hours i have had 4 yellows die at 1-2 days old also eggs going missing, i live in A built up city area so if this is animals i dont know what. I have been doing alot of work in my garden with a disc cutter could this expain the dead babies?
pjc Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 it sounds like you may have just upset and disturbed the old birds! Have the baby's been killed or just left to get cold? Have the eggs actualy dissapeared or have the old birds just broken them?

DOVEScot Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 We had that one time, turned out to be a grey squirrel we caught in the trap :-/ Eggs missing, babies dead, adults were damaged. We totally sealed the loft from any intruder, the biggest hole being 1/4 mesh. :-/

IT WILL CONTINUE IF YOU DONT LISTEN. That's what we thought as well, we have never seen a rat here or had any reports in the area, we emptied the loft and set traps. It was a squirrel we caught, we never have had any trouble since, the sad thing is we used to feed and encourage the squirrels A squirrel is just a tree rat :-/
