Guest 67ghirl Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Your best bet is to phone the Secretary of the SNFC. Andy Garven 01236 830253. He is the best bet to get the correct info. Hopes this helps!
aldo1 Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 does any one no if you can join on the night
JADE Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 i think you will be ok if you go along but best to phone sec first. where is your marking station
Guest IB Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Rule book does say you need to pay a fee of £10, 2 weeks before the race, but I think that is to give time for getting race sheets and Year book back to you, by post. Marking Stations have spare race sheets, so you should be OK on the night, as we certainly don't turn folk away at our marking station. Good luck.
jimmy white Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 yes ian quite agree with you,, but surely this is what make rules sometimes lack common sense ,,, it would be quite possible at your marking station to accept entries on the night [which i entirely agree with] but at the same time at maybe some other marking station ,they could, or would, turn someone away,, with no arguement ,,,as the rule book says so,,, so really some clarity on this rule should be put right ,,pronto,,
JADE Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i think the deadline was put in so lots of guys dont turn up on the day unexpectedly but in reality they are not going to turn someone away. did you send aldo? if so good luck
